He moved to Texas in 1884 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Wright stopping for a short time at Weatherford, Texas before continuing to Young County, Texas in 1884. They settled in the Conner Creek Community, eight miles east of Graham living there until 1923 when he moved to Lincoln, Arkansas. Mr. Wright united with the Baptist Church and lived a devoted Christian life.

Survived by his wife; two sons - Graham Wright and Leland Wright; one daughter - Bertha Creasley; one sister - Mrs. Nora McClure.
