Mrs. Alice Blosser

Mrs. Alice Clara Blosser, 78, widow of Amos P. Blosser, died suddenly in a heart attack at 10:30 a.m. this morning at the home south of Goshen where she had lived many years. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Asher Blosser, was in the home at the time. Acting Coroner W. R. Kelly said death was due to heart disease.
The daughter of George and Susan (Shirk) Apple, she was born Dec. 6, 1864, at Cabin Hill, 5 miles west of Goshen. She was married in February, 1883 to Mr. Blosser, who died March 8, 1930.
For many years the Blossers operated Blosser park on an island in the Elkhart river near their home.
Surviving are 2 sons, Asher, and Dura of Detroit; a daughter Mrs. Abe Shelly of near Goshen; 3 sisters, Mrs. Adeline VanScoik of Dunlap, Mrs. Daniel Singer of Goshen and Mrs. Ellen Miller of Elkhart; 2 brothers, Henry Apple of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Harvey of Helena Mont.
The body is at the Rohrer funeral home, New Paris. Funeral arrangments are being delayed pending word from a grandson, Staff Sgt. Harold Blosser, Asher's son, at Wichita Falls, Texas.
Information from Mark Blosser Family tree, compiled by Mark Blosser.

The funeral was held at the Christian church in Waterford, Sunday at 2:30 p. m.
