On October 22, 1913 she married Robert Withington Herring, son of Lewis Amos Judson Herring and Sarah Elizabeth Johnson Herring of Sampson County, N. C. They were married at Saluda, N. C. To this union was born one son. She attended the Episcopal Church and was a member of the Republican Party.
