Billy Dean Bright, Sr. of Darlington, loving husband of Laurie Bright, passed away at his home after an illness, on January 3, 2010. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 2:00 in the Chapel of Belk Funeral Home.

Born April 28, 1948 in Gaffney, SC, Billy was hard working devoted family man. "Pepa" as he was known to many, loved his family. He lived for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Bright Jr., a son Billy Dean Bright Jr., and a brother Tommy Bright.

Surviving are his loving wife, of 42 years, Laurie Yucker Bright, a devoted daughter, Robin (Rodney) Anderson, a daughter-in-law, Candy Bright, his mother, Laura "Pauline" Jones Bright, five grandchildren: Tisha (Micheal Elmore) Anderson, Crystal (Perry Munn) Anderson, Rodney (Sloane Rabon) Anderson Jr., Ashley Bright, and Troy Bright; and six great grandchildren: Dawson, Brooklyn, Zoey, Tierra, Brandon and Addison; three brothers: James Bright, Ricky Bright, and Ikey Bright; three sisters: Mary Bright, Judy Delvin, and Patricia "Sisi" Knighter and countless family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 5 from 6 to 8 at Belk Funeral Home.
