Mrs. Icie M. Alley
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Icie Mae Alley, 34, of Otway, found dead Saturday at the home of Anna Egbert of Egbert Stop. where she was employed as a housekeeper.
County Coroner Richard L. Woodyard returned a verdict of death caused by smothering in a convulsion. Dr. Woodyard said Mrs. Alley was found in bed, face down in a pillow.
She was born Nov. 2, 1918, in the Otway area a daughter of Archie and the late Lula Jones.
Surviving are the father, who lives at Blue Creek, sister Mrs. Clara Arnold of Otway Rt. 1, an aunt and two uncles. Mrs. Arnold has not been located.
The mother and one brother preceded in death.
Services will be conducted at Berea Chapel with interment in the chapel cemetery under direction of Freeman Funeral Home.
The body will be taken to the home of an uncle, Floyd Lawson, of Otway Rt. 2.
