MRS. MIKE BREIER, PIONEER, CALLED
Lived in Maple Grove and Chesaning Townships Just Half Century
Mrs. Anna Breier, 82 years old and wife of Mike Breier both well known pioneers of Maple Grove and Chesaning townships died at 12:15 Wednesday morning as the direct result of a stroke of paralysis. She has suffered much the last few years. The last stroke came Sunday evening. Anna Kline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kline of Linger, Luxenberg, was born in 1851, married to Mr. Breier in 1879 and two years later came to this country and settled in Big Rapids. In 1883 they moved to Maple Grove where they lived until 1917 when they moved to Chesaning. There survives five children, Ann and Mike of Maple Grove; Frank of Chesaning; Ed of Lansing; Peter of Chicago, and Louis and John who preceded her in death; one brother, Nicholas and a siser, Mrs. Etienne, both of Maple Grove. There are 25 grandchilden and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Breier was a lifelong and devout member of the Catholic church. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 Friday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church with the Rev. Fr. Studer officiating. The burial will be in the Maple Grove Catholic Cemetery.
