MRS. TATE HONORED AT REUNION
The family of Mrs. Ida Tate and the late Mr. George Tate met recently at Tchemanahaut State Park. The occasion was to honor Mrs. Ida Tate on her 91st Birthday. Mrs. Tate is the mother o seven children; six of these are living and shared the event with her.

Her children are:
Mrs. R. G. Marter
Mrs. Vennie Kilpatrick
Mrs. Richard Evans
Mrs. W. C. Wilson
Mr. W. W. Tate
Rev. A. L. Tate

Reminiscing and visiting made the day enjoyable for this group of 124 who assembled for this special occasion. Basket lunches were brought by all and spread on the picnic tables. See news item, all 124 people attending were listed.

TATE FAMILY HOLDS REUNION SATURDAY AT CARTER PARK
Saturday, August 2, 1975, the descendants of Ida Tate and the last George Collins State gathered at the A. P. Carter Memorial Park for their ninth (9th) annual reunion. Those attending the fellowship were greeted by the surviving children:
Surviving children in 1975 are:

Rev. Andrew Tate
Mrs. Vennie Kilpatrick
Mrs. Georgia Merter?
Woodrow Tate
Mrs. Bertie Wilson

Mrs. Ida Tate was unable to attend, so relatives stopped by the home of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Evans to wish her an early happy birthday, usually celebrated at the reunion. Miss Ida will be 93 years old August 18. Al list of those who attended is in the newspaper article.

MRS. IDA TATE
Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Tate, 93, who died yesterday at her home following a long illness, will be held at 2 pm in the Pine Grove Baptist Church (she was a member) with the Rev. Rawls Pierce officiating, Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery across the Arkansas state line, under the direction of Golden's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tate is survived by two sons:
Rev. Andrew Lee Tate of Hattiesburg, Mississippi
Woodrow Wilson Tate of Livingston, Texas
Four daughters:
Mrs. Vinnie Tate Kilpatrick of Bastrop
Mrs. Georgia Marter of Bastrop
Mrs. Bertie Wilson of Bastrop
Mrs. Myrtle Evans of Bastrop
35 grandchildren; 114 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren
