Etta Mae Threet, 85, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 1, 2009. Funeral services were held Dec. 5 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Scott White officiating. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Threet was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Henderson and Ida Burgess.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and Gee-Gee, she was a homemaker who was very loving and devoted to her family and her three dogs (Candy, B.J. and Missy).
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Anderson of Michigan and Barbara and David Phelps of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Susan Threet and Ed and Kim Threet, all of Crossville; sisters, Lennis Evans, Alice Miller, Thelma Wyatt, Chris Turner and Duane Turner; brother, Emerson Burgess; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Threet; sister, Lois Ebach; one son-in-law; three brothers; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons Michael Phelps, Jay Anderson, Harold Junek, Chuck LaFata and Tom McCormack; and brother-in-law, Charlie Turner.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
