WICHITA - Eula May Nunemacher, 100, retired teacher and school librarian, died Jan. 23, 2012. A funeral service was held Jan. 26 at Larksfield Place Auditorium and a graveside service was held at Highland Cemetery, Ashland.

She was born to Lillie (Skelton) and Robert N. Nunemacher at Ashland, on Dec. 3, 1911. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert N. Nunemacher Jr. Eula May graduated from Ashland High School in 1929 and from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia in 1933. She taught at Syracuse Junior High School, Cold water Junior High School, and Wellington Junior High School; served two years simultaneously as librarian for Dodge City High School and Dodge City Junior College; and served for more than 20 years as head librarian at Wichita High School North, retiring in 1974.

She was a life-long member of the United Methodist church and belonged to the FirstUnited Methodist Church, Wichita, from 1945 until her death. In recent years, she attended Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of University Club and PEO. Eula May had a spirit of adventure and traveled widely with friends. She and a college roommate drove to Alaska in the summer of 1936.

Survivors include sister, Frances Van Blaricum of Lawrence; nephew, Kenneth Van Blaricum and wife, Annette of Pratt; niece, Betty Anne Grogan of Albuquerque, N.M.; nephew, Galen Van Blaricum and wife, Karen of Lawrence; niece Francia Bird and husband, Eric of El Dorado.

Memorials have been established with Larksfield Place or First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing and Lahey Mortuary East was in charge of arrangements.
