Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Metzger, 85, were held on Saturday, March 5, 1966, at 9:15 in the Schaetter Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church.
The Rev. W. W. Schneider officiated, burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Metzger died on Wednesday, March 2, at 10:35 p.m. in the Hill Crest Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since October 1965.
The former Theresa Kollet, she was born on July 21, 1880, the daughter of Joseph Kollet and Katherine Petsch Kollet. She was married to Albert Metzger on Jan. 31, 1905. He died on May 6, 1945.
She is survived by the following children: Gertrude, Mrs. Paul Petsch, Boerne; Paul Metzger, San Antonio; Lawrence Metzger, Fredericksburg; Bruno Metzger, San Antonio; and Julia, Mrs. Archie Moczygemba, Austin.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death b a son, John Metzger, and two children, who died in infancy.
Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Frederick, Peter, and Albert Kollet; and a sister, Anna, Mrs. William Robitsch.
Pallbearers at her rites were: Albert Kammlah, Erwin Kammlah, Louis Durst, Eugene Durst, Frank Pohler and Wilbert Robitsch.
