Susanna was born 20 July 1864 in Salt Lake City, UT to Charles and Mariah Jaynes Taysom. She was married to Bradley Jackson in 1886 in Rockland ID. They later moved to Miles City in Montana where they had a ranch. Susanna and Bradley Jackson had no children.

"Susannah Taysom Jackson cut her hair short, liked to ride astride her horse, and wore a Stetson".
