Margaret Louise Parnell Chambless (1930 - 2012)

Margaret Parnell Chambless, 81, passed into the loving arms of her precious Lord and Savior on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Cemetery Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: Expressions of sympathy may be made in Margaret Chambless' name to Johnsville Cemetery or Christ's Haven for Children.

Margaret was born in Johnsville to the late Joe and Jimma Parnell and was raised in Stephenville. Margaret married the love of her life, Don Chambless, in 1950. They moved to Richland Hills in 1955, where they lived for 57 years. Their love produced five loving children, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Margaret's greatest joy was her family. Her heart overflowed with love for many others she loved and thought of as family and they thought of her as their "Ma." Margaret lived a life of generosity, love for children, family, music, the beauty of nature and service to others. Her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Margaret loved to laugh and find humor in everything around her even through life's ups and downs. Margaret's life and love made many other lives better. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Chambless, and many sisters, brothers and other loved ones.

Survivors: Son, Jimmy Don Chambless (Pam); daughter, Nancy Ellen Cave (Tom); daughter, Janie Chambless; daughter, Terri Chambless Alcedo; son, Charles Allen Chambless; sister, Ruby Ellen Smith; 10 loved grandchildren; 14 loved great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; in-laws; and many other loved ones.
