Bill Daily
Services for Bill Daily, 74 of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bacon Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Murray and Rev. Jimmy McGuire, both of Bacon Heights, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Daily died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, in Lubbock Hospitality House.
He was born May 30, 1924, in Tira, Texas. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, and he was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He married Helen Hoard on Jan. 15, 1962, in Amarillo. He worked for the Elliott Co. for several years, and he owned A-1 Addressing Systems since 1968. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson Davis "Buddy" Daily and Edith Amelia (Ainsworth) Daily; one brother Buddy Junior Daily of Borger, Texas; and one sister Geraldine (Daily) Bradley of Plano, Texas.
Survivors include his wife; a son, William Thomas Jr. of San Jose, California; two daughters Paula Wright of Lubbock, Karen Haslam of Magna, Utah; and six grandchildren; and three sisters, Blanch Doris (Daily) Clouse, Ellen Inez (Daily) Kratazou and Bobby Jene (Daily) Davis all of Greenwood, Arkansas. The family suggests memorials to Becon Heights Baptist Church Building Fund or to a favorite charity.
