Jefferson Davis 'Buddy' Daily was the son of Jefferson Davis and Inez B. Daily. In 1910, Buddy, age 6, born in Oklahoma, was living with his parents and siblings in Holford, Oklahoma (Marshall County). His father, age 45, born in Alabama, was a farmer. His mother, age 40, was born in Texas. His parents were both on their second marriages and had been married 10 years. The census shows that his mother had given birth to 8 children and that five were still alive. Six children were living in the household, some too old to be the child of Buddy's mother: James W., age 18, born in Texas; Arthur L., age 13, born in Oklahoma; Ollie B., age 9, born in Oklahoma; Jetha M., age 7, born in Oklahoma; Jefferson D. Jr, age 6, born in Oklahoma; and Byrdie A., age 4, born in Oklahoma.

Funeral for Jefferson Davis 'Buddy' Daily, 68, who died Thursday in Lawton, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lawton with burial in Highland Cemetery in Durant at 3 p.m. with Murray Funeral Home in charge. He was born March 30, 1904 in Madill, and was an employee of Frank's Food Store while living in Durant. He was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, William of Lubbock, and Buddy Jr. of Borger; four daughters, Mrs. Ellen Karatzow of McAlester, Mrs. Doris Couse of Dallas, Mrs. Geraldine Bradley of Denison, and Mrs. Bobby Davis of Ft Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Williams of Shreveport, and Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Sulphur Springs; 17 grandchildren, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
