Mrs. Guilford M. (Opal Adeline Blaylock) Bass, 66, of Route 1 Box 186, Bethalto, formerly of Decatur died 5 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 28, 1984) in Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton.

Mrs. Bass was born in Fayette County, daughter of Oscar and Velva Blaylock. She was a member of Bayle City Baptist Church, Bayle City. She married Guilford M. Bass Sr. in 1935. He died in 1982.

Surviving are her sons, Robert C. of Peoria; Guilford M. Jr. of Decatur; daughters, Dorothy A. Adams of Decatur; Mrs. Edward L. (Patsy) Scott of Bethalto; brothers, Bob Blaylock of Decatur; Victor Blaylock of Jackson, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers preceded her in death.
