Edgar C. Duncan, 67, resident of Dallas and father of Mrs. Charles R. Walden of Austin, died in a Dallas hospital Thursday morning. Duncan was a longtime resident of Dallas and had been with the Dallas Recreation Department for 20 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the IOOF and lived several years in Kaufman before moving to Dallas.
He is survived by his wife of Dallas: two sons, Edgar C. Duncan Jr., of Dallas; David Duncan, Denton; two daughters, Mrs. Buck Talley, Dallas and Mrs. Charles Walden, Austin; seven sisters; three brothers; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Rosary services will be held in Dallas at the Sparkman Garland Road Chapel Friday at 8 p.m. Requiem Mass will be said at St. Philip Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Edwin J. Johnson will officiate with burial in Calvary Hill Cemetery.
