William B. Freese was born November 13, 1868, in Blue River Township, Johnson County, Indiana, the son of Joseph Alexander and Ella Susan Johnson Freese. On June 17, 1896, in Edinburgh, Johnson County, he married Myrtle Leona Curry, daughter of David Hamblen and Mynora Lodema Condon Curry. They were the parents of 7 children: 3 children who died in childhood, Harold, Mildred, Edgar and Hazel Freese. William passed away January 10, 1946, in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana, and was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.
