Julia A. Girón, of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away peacefully and went to meet the Lord on January 4, 2012.
Julia was born on July 3, 1927 in Taos Junction, NM to Beatriz and José Dionicio Archuleta and married Joe E. Girón on January 2, 1951 in Ranchos de Taos, NM.
Julia was preceded in death by her father, José Dionicio Archuleta, mother, Beatriz Archuleta, and nine brothers and sisters.
Julia is survived by her husband, Joe E. Girón of Rio Rancho, NM, son, Gene Girón and his wife, Amy M. Smith, both of Lone Tree, CO, son, Gary L. J. Girón and his significant other, Angela Medrano, daughter, Helen L. Girón, all of Rio Rancho, NM, brother, Alfredo Archuleta and sister-in-law, Mary Archuleta, both of Santa Fé, NM. Julia was a faithful, spiritual, loving, and compassionate wife, mother, and friend, who left a legacy of love.
Julia will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A visitation and funeral service took place on January 10, 2012 at Christian Life Fellowship in Santa Fé, NM. Interment followed at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM. Pallbearers were Gene Girón, Gary Girón, José Archuleta, Ray Baca, Delbert Carl and Paco Arguello.
