J. M. Leep, aged 89, died at his home on Silver Run, near Newark, on Thursday. He was born February 19, 1849. He was a life-long resident of Wirt County.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Regina Leep; one son, Roland; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Exline and Mrs. Kathleen Bailey, both of Newark; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Bertha Hoff of Mingo Junction, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Luvenia Clayton and Mrs. Elizabeth Founds of Newark, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Newark Methodist Church with Rev. H.M. Stephens officiating.

Interment was made in the Newark cemetery with W.M. Pomroy, udertaker, in charge.
