She was a daughter of Samuel and Delilah (Woods) Leep.

Married (1) Jeremiah Deem on Oct. 4, 1872 in Wirt County.

Married (2) James Founds on Feb. 20, 1896, in Wirt County.

Mrs. Elizabeth Founds of Newark, died Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Etta Piersol of Parkersburg. Mrs. Founds was the daughter of Samuel Leep, early Wirt County settler, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Waller and Mrs. Etta Piersol of Parkersburg; one son, John W. Deem, of Mineral Wells; and five grandchildren, Daisy Waller, H. George Jones, Mrs. Howard Leeson, Madelon Piersol and Clifford Deem. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church at Newark, Rev. E.V. Black officiating. Interment was in the Fought cemetery.
