Mrs. Catherine "Kay" Wright Allan, 79, of Silver Spring, died at her home Monday, Aug. 31.

Born and reared in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Ewell and Maud Hutchinson France. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the PEO, and active in several other organizations.

Surviving are one son, Berry T. Wright, Jr. of Frederick; two sisters, Evelyn Burgess of Takoma Park, Mary Todd of Florida; one grandson, Jack Wright of Jefferson, and two great-grandsons.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. at Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home, Rockville. Burial will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

Services will be held at Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave., Rockville, Md., on Friday, September 4, at 1 p.m. Interment Monocacy Cemetery.
