He was born on Friday, 05 January 1923 in Billings, Oklahoma and was the son of Edgar Crawford Pierce and Edith (Murray) Pierce.
Edgar attended public schools in Upland, CA., and graduated from Chaffey High School and attended Occidental College Class of 1944 and attended the University of Michigan Center for Japanese Studies in the early 1940s.
He had a successful 40 year career in live television production, broadcast advertising and public relations and was a charter member of the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters.
Mr. Pierce is survived by his children, Susan (Pierce) DeVaughn, Gwendolyn (Pierce) Welles, Laurie Pierce, Lisa Pierce, David Pierce and Debbie Pierce, sister, Mary Ellen (Pierce) Jackson, stepson, Michael Whittington.
