Alix was born July 13, 1941 to Rufus Andrews Sr. and Lee Persley Andrews. Alix served in the United States Navy. He married Anita J. Jenkins August 31, 1964 in Bell County. They lived in Killeen and moved to this area 17 years ago. He was employed as a correctional officer.
Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his parents, and by one brother, Rufus Andrews Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Anita J. Andrews of Evant; two sons, Johnny Andrews of Oakalla and Coy Andrews of Indiana; two daughters, Shanna Andrews of Gatesville and Deloris Winchell of Florence; ten grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.
Alix Andrews loved the river, fishing, playing cards and his family. He will be missed.
