I'd like to thank you for taking care of me when I was young. You let me play in your drawer with the pots and pans and didn't care at all when I was very little. Your were one of my favorite Aunts and you were so sweat.
SMITH Viola Faith Viola Faith Smith, 93, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the Sunset House where she had resided the last four years. Viola was the daughter of Homer and Carrie (Yount) Hall. A member of St. Petri Lutheran Church, her strong faith was evident in her life each day. Viola's family was the focus of her life. She enjoyed exercising, was an avid walker and reader and always willing to learn something new. Viola had a wonderful, positive attitude toward life and encouraged all those she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Hillard W. "Bud" Smith, Jr. and her husband, Hillard W. Smith, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Juanita Caldwell; children, Joyce (Jim) Salway, Darlene (Robert) Pickle and Larry (Jayne) Smith; grandchildren, Kim, Joette, Jacyln, Martha, Brian, Dareth, William, Denny, Penny, Reba, Bob, Debi, Darlyn, Paul, Dan, Laura and Greg; as well as 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
