Imadell Carter, 71, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Schooler-Gordon Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with Glen Walton and Dalton Key officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Childress County to Travis Mac Garrett and Lola Mae Green. She married Bennie W. Carter in Holis, Okla., in 1950.

She was a trustee of the Josephine Anderson Foundation, a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ, the Amarillo Republican Womens Club and Lambda Alpha Delta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Carter Autry and husband, Bruce, of Amarillo; two sons, Steve Carter and wife, Janet, of Clarendon and Phillip Carter and wife, Teal, of Amarillo; two sisters, Lavelle Dennis of Lawton, Okla., and Pat Weeks of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren, Aaron Autry, Marianne Autry, Branson Carter, Bret Carter, Haley Carter and Kimberly Carter; and one great-granddaughter, Avery.
