John A. Allen died one week shy of his 35th birthday from the 1918 (Spanish) flu pandemic in Ogden Utah on October 14, 1918. Born October 21, 1883 to Ammon Allen and Isabel Hislop in Huntsville.

He married Effie M. Reast on September 26, 1906 in the Salt Lake Temple after completing an LDS Mission to Colorado.

At the time of his death, he was the manager of the Western Bottling Company of (2327 Grant Ave) Ogden and had been elected treasurer of the Utah State Bottlers' association November 1917.

Original from Huntsville, John had been a resident of Ogden (753 22th St.) for the past 12 years.

He leaves behind his wife and four young children; ages 1, 3, 6, & 11; and his parents of Huntsville, Utah.

Burial in the Ogden City Cemetery.
