Boonsboro Funeral Director Victim of Pneumonia
William Franklin Bast, Funeral Director at Boonsboro for the past 52 years, died at 4 a.m. Thursday of pneumonia at his home in Boonsboro, following a 10-day illness. He was 73 years of age and was the son of the late John H. and Margaret E. Bast, of Braddock, Md.
A member of the Boonsboro Lutheran Church, he was also a 32nd degree Mason. Three sons, John, Charles, and Gerald, all of Boonsboro, survive, as well as these daughters: Mrs. Elmer G. Miller and Mrs. Gwen B. Miller, both of Boonsboro, Louise and Madeline, both of Washington, D. C.; also seven grandchildren.
Funeral services at the home at 3 p. m. Saturday, the Rev. M. A. Ashby officiating. Internment in the mausoleum at Boonsboro cemetery.
