Third Regimant of Illinois Cav., Company D and Company E as reorganized John is seated bottom middle. There was one large portrait and one (approx) 8x10 portrait for each of the brothers. Rosanna, their sister, also had a copy. I don't know if it was presented to her or if it originally belonged to her mother, Elizabeth, who lived with Rosanna at the end of her life. hpbs
