Mrs. Maude Matthews, wife of Wilbur O Matthews, 436 West Washington street, died at Sykesville hospital on Thursday afternoon, aged 51 yers. She was a member of the First Baptist church. Besides her husband, the following sisters survive; Mrs. Julia Williamson, Hagerstown; Mrs. Margaret Dent, Pulaski, Va.; Mrs. Lou Hook, Mrs. Margaret Bale (Bayle) and Mrs. Alice Barthero (Lathero), all of Altoona, Pa. The remains may be viewed at the Suter Funeral home until Sunday noon. Funeral service on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Paul B Watlington officiating.
