Mrs. Ruth Beall Compher died suddenly on Thursday at her home in Poolesville. She is survived by her husband, Z. M. Compher, and two brothers, J. William Beall, Poolesville, and [Erwin] O. Beall, Alexandria, Va.

Mrs. Compher had taught in Montgomery County schools for 42 years, 37 of which was in Poolesville. She was a graduate of Poolesville High School, member and treasurer of Poolesville Methodist Church and active in community organizations. The school will adjourn at noon today in a token of respect and recognition for her many years of service. The faculty of the school will attend her funeral services in a body.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Barnesville. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Poolesville Methodist Church. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
