He grew up and attended school in Locust Grove, graduating from Locust Grove High School in 1958. He and Anna Mae Martin were married on August 9, 1963 in Pryor; they moved to Wagoner where they have made their home ever since. Jackie worked as a farm hand in Wagoner when they first married but later worked for the Wagoner Water Plant for a few years. He went to work for Wagoner Public School System in 1971 and worked as a maintenance engineer until retiring in 1997. He was retired for one week, and then went to work for the City of Wagoner Water Dept. where he worked for 9 years.
Jackie loved hunting. He had several beagle pups and walker hounds that he love hunting with. They hunted squirrels, rabbits, quail and coyotes. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter; one son and wife; Mother; four brothers and two sisters. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Holman.
Graveside services for Jackie Holman, 71, of Wagoner will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at McClain Cemetery in Locust Grove. Rev. Doug Parker will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 PM at Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove.
