B. V. Rutledge, 75, died September 24, 1982 at his residence in the Van Buren Community. He was a member of the Smithville Methodist Church and had retired after 39 years as a school teacher. Services were held Sept. 26 at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Virgie Rutledge of Van Buren; two sons, Joe Rutledge of Jackson and Glenn Rutledge of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Artie Patton of Fulton and Mrs. Mary Kinard of Iuka; three grandchildren.
