Jo Ellen Wheeler Wright, 61, died March 28, 2003, of ovarian cancer.
She was born May 27, 1941 in Preston, Idaho, the oldest of nine children of James Herbert and Venus Merrill Wheeler. She married Raymond Sanford Wright III on September 11, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jo Ellen grew up in Lewiston, Utah, and later in Salt Lake City. She graduated from Olympus High School in 1959 and attended BYU for two years. She graduated from LDS Business school with a stenographic degree, worked four years and then became a full-time mom.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her husband, Ray, and their five children: Chris (Gary) Davis, Rebecca (Mark) Keddington, Stephen (Sally) Wright, Matt (JaNae) Wright, Rachel (Darren) Zaugg; and grandchildren: Eric, Shaun, Holly, Daniel, Nicole, Katie, William, Spencer, Stacy, Ana, Ethan, Alison, Catherine and Abby. Jo Ellen is also survived by her brothers and sisters: George (Bonnie) Wheeler, Robert (Cathie) Wheeler, Stephen (Terry) Wheeler, Janet (Craig) Evans, Mike (Annette) Wheeler, Peggy (Todd) Neuens, Karen Wheeler Allred, David (Anna) Wheeler, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2003, at 12:00 noon in the Oak Hills 1st Ward, 1038 North 1200 East, Provo. A viewing will also be held at the Church prior to the services from 10:00 a.m.- 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Walker Family Mortuary of Provo.
