Edgar Laverne Ackerman of Clement Ave., North Charleston, a carpenter, died Friday, Januray 8, 1988, at his residence.
Mr. Ackerman was born July 28, 1940, in Andrews, a son of Eddie R. Ackerman and Anna McCants Ackerman.
He was survived by his parents of Mount Pleasant; two sons, David G. Ackerman and James A. Ackerman, both of Charleston; five brothers, Ruffie O. Ackerman of North Charleston, William E. Ackerman and Jerry W. Ackerman, both of Goose Creek, Albert E. Ackerman of Mount Pleasant, and Ronnie L. Ackerman of Georgetown; and four sisters, Margie A. Clark of Goose Creek, Mary A. McClary and Adell A. Sheehan, both of Georgetown, and Rose A. Freeman of Mount Pleasant.
Funeral services, directed by Stuhr's, were Monday, January 11, 1988, in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
