EXETER, Va. - Aaron W. Price Sr., 78, died Thursday (Oct. 29, 1998). Born in Imboden, Va., he had resided most of his life in Exeter, Va. He retired from Westmoreland Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA District 28, Local No. 1055. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle M. Price in 1992; his parents, Robert and Belle Price; three brothers, Jess, Harvey and Frank Price; and three sisters, Jane and Nather Price and Rose Cole.
Surviving are four daughters, Elizabeth Price, Marlene Bush and Merry Pease, all of Exeter, Va., and Rita Robinette, Imboden, Va.; six sons, Ronnie (Moke) Price, Port Clinton, Ohio, Robert (Pete) Price, Indianapolis, Ind., Harold (Butch) Price, Clarksville, Tenn., Bill Price and Aaron W. Price Jr., both of Big Stone Gap, Va., and Jim Price, Exeter, Va.; special caregiver and beloved granddaughter, Missy Bush, Exeter, Va.; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Randolph, Big Stone Gap, Va.; a brother, June Price, Anderson, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Holding Funeral home, Big Stone Gap, Va. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Garry Arnett officiating.
Burial will be at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, Big Stone Gap, Va. Sons will serve as pallbearers.
