Heading north from Lee County on Hwy 23/ Orby Cantrell Hwy take the second Big Stone Gap, Exit 2 (State Route 610/Powell Valley Rd). At the end of the ramp turn right and head east towards East Stone Gap and Powell Valley. Go 3.9 miles on State Route 610/Powell Valley Road and you will see the sign for Powell Valley Memorial Gardens on the right side of the road.

The main office for the cemetery is located just past and on the left hand side of the mausoleum. The mausoleum and main office are located at the front right corner of the cemetery. The veterans section of the cemetery is located at the back of the cemetery next to the flag pole.
