Oliver Malston, a pioneer of Tipton county and of the Windfall community, died Wednesday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. D. Jones in Windfall. Mr. Malston had been in failing health for some time with cancerous complications. About two weeks ago.
Mr. Malston suffered a serious attack while in the rear yard at his home and since then failed very rapidly. For the past two days his condition was such that his death was expected at any time.

Mr. Malston, who was 91 years of age, was born in Kentucky, May 16th, 1839 and was of
German parentage. He was the son of John and Sarah (Wallingford) Malston and was one of nine children in the family all being deceased. His grandfather, Thomas Malston, died at the age of 98. He resided on the Tipton-Howard county line near Sharpsville.

Mr. Malston w;ho came to Tipton county in 1850 was united in marriage to Miss Mary Duncan of Tipton in 1866 and seven children were born to their union. The wife died in Windfall in 1907. He is survived by the following children, William Malston, Mrs. Anna Jones, Mrs. May Martin, wife of J.O. Martin, of Windfall; Clyde and Frank Malston and Mrs. Lilly McDonald, wife of Ralph McDonald, of Osborne, Ohio. A son, Joe Malston was killed in an auto accident north of Windfall in 1923.
