Agnes Marcantel, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012, in her home.
She was a native of Mamou, Louisiana and has lived in Westlake for 53 years.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Beryl Marcantel of Westlake; and sons, Edward Marcantel of Carlyss, Gerald Marcantel of Lake Charles and Harold Marcantel and wife Sandra of Vinton, her sister, Lula Manuel of Jennings. 9 grandchildren and 21 great and numerous great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Raoul Marcantel; three sons, Silton "Blackie", James and Charles Glenn Marcantel; granddaughter, Jackie Marcantel; grandson, Jerry Marcantel and 11 brothers and sisters.
Her funeral will be, 2pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Albert Borel will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday, 2pm-8pm with a rosary at 5pm and resume at 8am Wednesday until service time.
