Bertha Montgomery, age 78 of Route 1, Wirtz, died suddenly at her home on January 15, 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents, John L. and Cora Kingery Montgomery and two brothers, Roy Montgomery and Clyde Montgomery. Surviving are four sisters, Ruth Peters of Rocky Mount; Esther Jamison of Roanoke; Lois Denlinger of Lewisburg, Ohio; and Rachel Beckner of Wirtz; three brothers, Joseph Montgomery of Moneta; Cabel Montgomery of Elida, Ohio; and Daniel Montgomery of Wirtz; two sisters-in-law, Velma Montgomery of Wirtz and Louise Klopfenstein of Elida, Ohio; twenty nieces, twenty-three nephews, several great-nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Oak Hill German Baptist Church by the Home Brethren. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 1:00 p.m. Thursday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
