Ruth K. Bunderson was born September 18, 1914 in Bern, Idaho. She was raised and educated in Idaho. She married Alton P. Bunderson in 1931 in the LDS Temple in Logan, Utah. She lived in Boise from 1947 until the time of her death at age 97 and lived independently until her last year.

She served as secretary for the Regional Director of the National Safety Council from 1949 to 1968 and as a secretary for the Idaho Department of Law Enforcement from 1968-1980, at which time she retired.

She was an active member of the Saint Alphonsus Auxiliary for many years. Ruth was a very caring, generous, responsible, and wonderful lady who always put her family first. She maintained her interest in the community, politics, and the world. Adapting to life from horse-drawn wagons to today's iPhone was a continual marvel for her. A trip to Idaho's Sawtooth mountains for some fresh air and a good meal was always a welcome journey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, AP; and three sons: Joe, John and Tom.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sandra Bunderson; six grandchildren: Todd (Becky) Bunderson, Deidre (Dan) Brown, Scott (Debbie Bennett) Bunderson, Jana Gill, Laura Stott and Rachel (Jed) Robinson; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery.
