Daniel D. Rummel, 86, of 1419 Cooper St., died Sunday afternoon in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1878, at Lennox, Iowa, and came to Montana 47 years ago, living in Missoula for 41 years. The retired rancher was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. He was married to Gertrude Kinney in 1907 in Nebraska. They homesteaded there for 10 years before moving to Lewistown in 1917. They came to Missoula in 1923.
Surviving are the widow; seven sons, Leo and James, Astoria, Ore.; Donald, Warrenton, Ore.; Mrs. Ruth Baier, Corvallis; Mrs. Ruby Watson, Billings; Mrs. Clara White and Mrs. Anita Getz, Missoula; Sister Agatha Marie, St. Ignatius; 63 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.
The body is at Geraghty Mortuary.
