HANNA CITY - Clifford P. Bleichner , 83, of Hanna City died at 4:46 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Dec. 27, 1919, in Oak Hill to Carl R. and Mamie E. Rupp Bleichner , he married Eleanor E. Penn on Nov. 29, 1941, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Ethel Himmel (and William Wilson) of Milton, Wis., and Norma (and C. Robert) Dawson of Brimfield; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold and Glen, both of Yates City, and Merle of Byron, Minn.; and one sister, Alice Johnson of Bartonville.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He farmed for many years in the Hanna City area before retiring in 1985. He also was a 50-year member of Laborers Local 165.

He attended Hanna City Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Patterson Funeral Home in Elmwood. The Rev. Dr. Edward Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery in Smithville.
