Susanna/h was born either b. either Jan 17, 1647 or Mar 16, 1649 (the later may be her baptism date) to Obadiah and Susanna Wheeler. She was the cousin and an inheritor of Captain Timothy Wheeler (d.30 July 1687, age 86years, Concord, MA, whose will is with Suffolk Reg. X-103, 1 March 1680), and a brother of Samuel Wheeler (b. 22 Feb. 1655/6).(1)

She married John Sheple Jr. on Sep. 23, 1672. Their entire family except child John was killed during the Abenaki Indian raid on Groton, July 27, 1694 and their house (likely with bodies inside) was burned to the ground. They are memorialized on the Sheple Monument transcribed by Samuel A. Green in his "Epitaphs".
