Albert L. (Big Al) Gottesburen,81,of KCK, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb 13, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral Liturgy will be 10a.m. Tues, Feb 17 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1088 N 94St. KCK. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7p.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at the church. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the church. Albert was born Sept 22, 1922, in KCK. He worked for the Colgate-Palmolive Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1984. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was a member of American Legion Post 370; and St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred L. Gottesburen, of the home, three daughters, Joyce Jenkins, Lynne Gottesburen, and Cristi Carroll; son David Gottesburen; brother Laurence Gottesburen; four sisters, Lauretta Weiss, Dorothy Baker, Mary Ann Porter, and Jeanette Burnett; three granddaughters, Angela Sherman, Jennifer Holland; and Claire Gottesburen; and two great-grandsons, Brett & Ryan Sherman.
