Evelyn Deinstel died Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran Orphans' Home, at Topton, from hemorrhages, following pneumonia, aged 5 years and 2 months. This is the first death of an orphan at the home since the founding of the institution in 1897. The child had been sick since her admission to the home about two weeks ago. Her mother is dead, and her father, John G. Deinstel, resides at Loyalville, Luzerne county. A sister, Laura, is also at the home.
