Phyllis Fields Caniff Davis, 80, of Flatwoods, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, August 24, 2021.


Phyllis was born November 20, 1940, in Flatwoods to the late Sherman A. Fields Sr. and Pearl M. Fairchild Fields. She retired from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital Cardiology Department after 29 years of service. She was a member of AmVets Post #95 Auxiliary, American Legion #325 Auxiliary, and Moose #701 Auxiliary in Ironton.


In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Rollin Caniff in 1979; a son, Timothy Michael Caniff in 2009; and two brothers, William Earl "Bud" Fields in 2014, and Sherman "June" Fields, Jr; and one sister Dorothy Lillian Fields Spiers.


Survivors include her husband, William "Bussy" Davis of Flatwoods; two sons, Jeffrey Caniff (Susan Justice) and Brian Caniff, both of Flatwoods; and two daughters, Cindy Avila and Susie Caniff, both of Russell; three grandchildren, Michael Caniff, Race Caniff and Tarah Matthews, special niece Norma Spiers Allen; numerous friends at Aqua Loop Campground along with a host of extended family and friends.
