She was born on October 19th, 1923 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Edward Rogers and Lexie Rogers. After graduating from Somerset City High School, Allie Dean married Foster G. Littrell in 1941. Together they owned Kiddie Kastle Children's clothing stores until their retirement in 1972. They maintained homes in both Kentucky and Florida until Foster's death in 2002. Allie Dean was full of life and loved to cook, play Canasta and travel. She loved her children and adored her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Allie Dean was a member of Somerset Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a charter member of Tropical Sands Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in North Palm Beach, Florida.
Allie Dean was survived by one daughter, Sarah Littrell Harvill (William Selling) of Boca Raton, Florida; two sons, Edward Roger Littrell of Richburg, South Carolina and David Scott Littrell (and Peggy) of Union, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lexie Rogers; and her husband, Foster Littrell.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 15th, 2012 in the Chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company in Somerset, Kentucky.
Interment followed in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.
