Supervisor John Tormey died at his residence on Pinole Ranch Saturday evening, leaving a wife, five children, two brothers and four sisters.
In 1865 he purchased a large interest in the Pinole Rancho. In 1867 he was elected to fill a vacancy in the County Board of Supervisors.
