Augusta's mother lived with the couple per 1905-1930 census'. Per 1920 & 1930 census' her mother was Henrietta Scharbarth, b. 1848, immigrated in 1882 with her husband and family. In the 1905 census she was listed as Mrs. William Sherbert, widow.
Mrs. Herman Kattreh, 78 of Rt. 1, Cato, died Monday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Paul Hensel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The former Gustie Scharbarth was born in Germany, August 7, 1879 and came to Milwaukee when 4 with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Scharbarth. She was married in 1904 at Milwaukee to Herman Kattreh and the couple came to Manitowoc County and always farmed in the Town of Cato.
Surviving her are the husband; a son, Burton of Rt. 1, Cato; a brother, William of Milwaukee; a nephew, William Scarbarth of Brillion and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 pm Wednesday until 11 am Thursday when the casket will be moved to the Church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
