DEWARD "DEWEY" PUCKETT WADE, age 83, of Old Town, Florida, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at his residence. Dewey was born on June 8, 1928, in Dublin, Georgia, to Homer and Donna Wade. He moved to Old Town in 1968 from Georgia. He retired as a business owner in the restaurant industry. Dewey was of the Methodist faith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and a daughter, Sue NesSmith.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Lord, of Old Town, Florida; son, Bill Wade, of Old Town, Florida; sister, Sarah Bernice Green, of Montrose, Georgia; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Keene Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Bryant officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, Trenton, Florida.
